Velvet Museum

We have opened a small art museum in Nishijin, where once large velvet shops lined the streets.

Please take a look at the collection of Wana velvet samples woven with the best technology, as well as many masterpieces of velvet that have been created up.

*In 2023, June 2 (Fri), 10 (Sat), 16 (Fri), 23 (Fri), July 1 (Sat), 7 (Fri), 22 (Sat), 28 (Fri) – No reservation required, the museum is open from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For a museum tour and puff making experience with the curator, please make a reservation in advance.

For other dates, the museum will be open by reservation as usual.

【Puff Making Experience】
The time it takes to complete the experience is approximately 40 minutes.
The fee is 1,000 yen.
*Please make your reservation at least one week in advance.
*We will be using needles and thread during the experience.
*You can take home the finished product. Maximum of 8 people.
